Health Outreach vehicles by Farber Specialty Vehicles have serviced thousands of community outreach projects throughout the United States. Here are a few of the organizations Farber Specialty Vehicles is proud to have participated with in 2008 and 2009.
Department of Veterans Affairs
Farber Specialty Vehicles recently manufactured a fleet of 50 new mobile counseling centers for the Department of Veterans Affairs. These vehicles will be used to provide outreach and direct readjustment counseling at active-duty, reserve and National Guard activities, including post-deployment health reassessments for returning combat service members.
WIC
WIC provides federal grants to states for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education.
The Ohio Benefit Bank
The Ohio Benefit Bank is a public-private partnership that provides community outreach and access to low and moderate-income Ohioans for free tax preparation and public benefits. Second harvest Food banks distribute food to more than 3,300 member charities including:
- Food pantries
- Soup kitchens
- Homeless shelters
- Hunger relief organizations
